Obituary of Jayson Brian Scott

Jayson Brian (Jay/Jake/Superman) Scott, Bear Clan, 52, of Tyendinaga passed away on February 7, 2025, in Kingston General Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Combined funeral/visitation service for Jayson and his Mother, Ellen Lea Anne (Lea) Green who passed on January 26, 2025, will be held at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Deseronto, ON on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

As per the wishes of Jayson and Lea, both have been cremated and will be interred at a later date.

Jayson was born in Kingston, ON to Brian & Leanne Scott on August 16, 1973.

He is survived by his daughter Madeleine (Maddie) Penner-Scott of Chilliwack, BC, Father Brian (step mother Judy) Scott of Kingston, ON, sister Ainsley (Farrell) Leween of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, nieces Reagan & Dylan Leween & step sister Brandy (Finn) Maracle.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Leanne Green (2025) and sister Amy Elisse Scott (2022).

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the amazing teams at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Emergency unit, the Intensive Care unit at KGH, and the staff of the Morning Star Mission and Pier 17 in Napanee, ON

Jayson was a registered organ donor and his act gave hope to two families identified by the Trillium Gift of Life Network.
