Patricia Anne Maloney (nee Whalen), in her 85th year died at Kingston General Hospital on October 3, 2025. Predeceased by her loving husband, Francis. Loving mother of Anne Marie, Don (Kelly), Tom, and Kevin. Proud grandmother of Brendan (Jannel), Michael, Patrick, Hayley (Patrick), Clare, Nolan, Shaye and great-grandmother of Luc, Oscar, Valerie and James. She is survived by sister-in-law Christine, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Michael, siblings Burt (Helen), Keith, Terry, Vern and Lorraine.

Born in Belleville her early years were spent in Point Anne.

Pat married Frank in 1965 and ran their farm on the old Hwy 502 between Napanee and Marysville. Forty years later they retired and relocated to Read.

Pat was a devoted wife and mother. Prior to marriage she worked at Corbin Lock and when the kids were young, she drove a school bus. Pat was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League for nearly 70 years. She will be dearly missed by her friends in the CWL and at TOPS.

The family wishes to express our appreciation to nurses, doctors and caregivers who cared for Mom at Kingston General Hospital, Belleville General Hospital and at home.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday October 7, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 78 Centre St., Deseronto. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Mary Church, 7288 Old Hwy 2, Marysville. Internment and reception to follow. Donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Heart and Stroke or the Saint Charles Borromeo Church building fund.
