Brian Walter Gray - June 7, 1957 - January 10, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dad, Brian Walter Gray of Belleville on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at the Kingston General Hospital in his 69th year. Brian was the son of the late John Gray and Phyllis (née Berry). Cherished father of Erica, Melanie (& Matthew), Darren and Edward. Dear brother of Randy (& Lynn) and Laurie (& Ken), and uncle to Amber. Brian will be deeply missed by his aunts and uncles, cousins, many friends, and his beloved cat Niwa.

Dad had a huge heart and created community wherever he was. Everyone who talked to him knew he was happiest when he was outdoors. He was endlessly proud of his gardens and found joy in photographing his world and sharing it with others. His love for animals was ever-present and he was always eager to share his observations from the woods and garden, especially any interactions with his friends the crows. We are grateful Dad was able to spend the last few years of his life close to us and doing all the things he loved most.

A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 17 from 11am - 2pm at the Foster Ward Community Centre, 75 St. Paul Street, Belleville. Per his wishes, Brian has been cremated. If desired, donations to Grace Inn Belleville or Fixed Fur Life Quinte would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.J.
