Winston Rupert Brant
April 12, 1941 - January 20, 2026
Sadly and unexpectedly, Winston left his earth walk to begin his spirit walk, in his 85th year. Winston was the devoted son of late Frank and Mary Brant (nee Roberts). He was the loving father of Steve (Irene), Sandy, Scott (Leanne), and Josh (Audrea). Winston was the proud grampa of late Katie, Cedar, Miigwun, Molly, Theo, Mika, Annika, Iliana, Charley, and River. Winston was the middle child of seven children, brother to Shirley, Don, Elaine, Ralph (Lynn) and Mary Lou (Will), and beloved “Uncle Bunny” to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Bob.
Winston was on the Board of Directors for First Nations Technical Institute, and was retired from Correctional Services Canada. He also worked at GM, as a sheet metal worker, and for the Allied Indian and Métis Society. Winston loved his family, his workplaces, and those he met through the mutual love of sport. He will be greatly missed by his friends, his community, and the people he met through his journey here on Earth.
