John Kenneth Daley Obituary

John Kenneth Daley Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dad, John Kenneth Daley on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. John will be remembered best by his daughters, Sarah (Paul) and Megan (Missy- his favourite) and his grandsons, Reid and Alex. He also leaves behind his two younger sisters, Deborah McPherson (Rick) and Cindy McEachern (Dan) and many nieces and nephews. A public school teacher in the Niagara area for over 30 years, a volunteer Fire Chief for Niagara District 4 in Queenston for over 20 years, an executive member of Deseronto Branch 280 of the Canadian Legion for many years, and the Niagara District teacher's union president as well, he undoubtedly left an enormous impact on so many people throughout his life. He will be remembered for his boisterous laugh, being a "poor old retired school teacher", making up his own vocabulary, love of red wine and incredible will to live and serve (usually when our mom shook her empty glass of ice or pointed to a place in her garden to dig a hole for her plants).

Cremation had taken place and he will be reunited with "the smartest and most talented woman I've ever known" his wife Becky, in the Deseronto Cemetery Columbarium. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ACUTE CARE UNIT in Napanee Hospital (Lennox and Addington) in his memory.
