John Sexsmith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Sexsmith.   John passed away in Salina, Utah, doing what he loved… driving truck.  John is predeceased by his parents, John and Carolyn (Forhan) Sexsmith.    Treasured dad of Jessica, John Joseph, and Michael.  He is the cherished partner of Yvonne Comeau-Sexsmith. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Peter Sexsmith and wife Evangeline.  John was a dedicated father, who was proud of his children's accomplishments and ready to brag to anyone who would listen. He was always ready with a joke or two to share, after he finished his rant, one could enjoy his gentle, funny, kind, generous side. He was one to sit around at tractor pulls and toss a farmall in the mix.  After chatting with John you would leave with a smile.  Growing up on a dairy farm there were always chores to do, but yet he still found time for mischief.   He was pulled out of highschool to help with the farm and then later to truck livestock. He worked hard to provide for a family of 5 and give his children everything.  A trucker's life brings sacrifices including  missing milestones, to ensure his children could get the life he wanted them to have.  He tried his hardest so that his wife could be home to  support their children throughout their development in school and work.  John Joseph Sexsmith 3rd was a father through and through.    Because of the sacrifices he made, his daughter is a conductor for CPKC Rail, his son is an OPP Constable, and his youngest son is with Frank's Drilling and Blasting. What he wasn't able to accomplish in his life is succeeded in his children who will carry on his life and memory and legacy.  We will know that Browning will be really well fed by our father in heaven, by numerous cheese burgers.

We would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to join us on Saturday June 13, 2026 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Marysville at 10:40a.m for the Rosary, 11am for the Funeral Mass.  Following the Mass everyone is welcome to 1941 Blessington Road from 12:30pm to 4pm to share a story or two with us as we will be celebrating the life of our father, John Joseph Sexsmith the third.  Please bring a lawn chair.

Dad has a shirt, "Trucker born, trucker bred, when I die I'll be trucker dead." We always found it funny until it became a reality
