Joseph Kevin Leeman, entered into the arms of his Heavenly Father, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 71.

Kevin was born in Chatham, New Brunswick to Dan and Margaret (née Bracken) Leeman. After completing high school Kevin joined the Canadian Armed Forces. He served in Ottawa and Calgary as well as with the United Nations in Ismaili, Egypt. Following his six year military service, Kevin pursued further education at the University of Alberta where he completed a Bachelor’s of Education. Teaching was truly Kevin’s vocation. The best interest of his students was always at the heart of all his interactions with them. He saw the potential of individuals and worked endlessly to help each one met their’s. Over the course of his 30 year teaching career, Kevin taught at Rundle College, Calgary, AB; Immaculata and St Pius X High Schools, Ottawa, ON; American School of Kuwait, Kuwait; Dhahran High School and Abqaiq School, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Kevin is predeceased by his parents Dan and Margaret. He is survived by his wife and best friend Kimberly(née Smith), his son Harrison Leeman, daughter Kathleen (Dylan) Carrier, and bonus daughters Clarisa Hogan and Elizabeth Pennington. He is also survived by his sisters Margot (Peter) Jones of Ottawa, ON, and Dawn (Bill) Kerr of Bedford, NS, and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Parkdale Baptist Church (514 Sidney St., Belleville, ON  K8P 4A2) on Monday June 29, 2026. Visitation from 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. with funeral service beginning at 12:00p.m. Reception and internment to follow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp, and Gleaners Foodbank.
