Obituary of Wilbur Keith Fox

Wilbur (Bill) Keith Fox born Oct 23, 1932 in Bloomfield ON, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2014 just three weeks shy of his 82nd birthday at the Friendly Manor Nursing Home of Deseronto ON. With many fond memories he will be greatly missed by his former wife, Beulah Lillian (Howell) of Kingston, son William (Wendy) of Brockville, daughter Karen North (Robert) of Kingston, grandchildren Jennifer Proceviat (Jason) of Ottawa, David Fox of Brampton, Brian Fox of Toronto, step-grandson Peter North and his cherished great-grandson Jacob Proceviat. Bill is survived by his sisters Winnifred West (William) of Toronto and Dorothy Coates (Fred) of Uxbridge. Predeceased tragically by daughter Cynthia Fox of Deseronto on May 29, 2014 and former wife Sandra (Wizniowski) in 2004. Also predeceased by sister Jeanne (King) and brothers Burton and Arthur. Bill loved to make people laugh with a good joke or a friendly tease. He had a spotlight career in civil engineering working on many highway projects throughout Ontario before moving into motel ownership of the Seaway Motel of Brockville ON and the Fox Motor Inn of Napanee ON. He had a love for the water and enjoyed boating, waterskiing, and travel with a particularly memorable trip to Copenhagen Denmark in 2005. As young man he enjoyed his motorcycle and always had a love for Prince Edward County where he grew up. A memorial will be held this Thursday October 9, 2014 at McGlade Funeral Home in Deseronto ON at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, Bill had requested any donations be directed to the Friendly Manor Nursing Home (Residents Council), Box 305, Deseronto ON KOK 1X0 and/or the Canadian Cancer Society.
