Obituary of Vera Viola Maracle

Peacefully passed into Gods greater presence surrounded by the love of her family, which she enjoyed in life, on September 1, 2012 in her 95th year. Dearly loved daughter of the late David Peter Maracle and Sarah Jane Maracle. Granddaughter of the late Abram and Sarah Brant and Peter Maracle and Sarah Claus. Loved and Cherished mom of Don, Charles, Danny, Wayne (Leona) Maracle, Glen (Donna) Maracle, Ronald (Mary) Maracle, Mrs. Evelina Hill (the late Calvin), Mrs. Mary Ann Sero, Brenda (Lester) Brant all of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Wilfred ‘Jr.’ (Iva) of Lethbridge, Alberta and David (Edith) Maracle of Kingston. Predeceased by her children Marlene, Evelyn, Sharon Fye and her infant son. Loved grandmother of 28 grandchildren, 82 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Mrs. Lena Green (Nelson), Mary Maracle and her brother William Leonard (Theda) Maracle. Vera was a dear sister-in-law of Madeline Freestone of Michigan, Mrs. Lorraine Hill and Wilbert Maracle. She is a very dear and special friend of Lorna Moses, Lois Brant and Rose Green and she will never be forgotten by her very special dog Niwah. Family and Friends will be received at the family home, 48C Bayshore Road, on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00p.m. Funeral Service to be held on September 6th in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 296 Church Street, Belleville at 1:00 p.m. Interment to take place in Christ Church Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Belleville General Hospital, Lennox & Addington Hospital, Tyendinaga Home and Community Care or the Christ Church Restoration Fund in memory of Vera.
