Obituary of Ross William Maracle

Ross William Maracle Sr. passed away early Wednesday morning on August 22, 2012 due to injuries sustained in a car accident, and joyously returned to the Lord, at the young age of 66. Today we lost a great leader, warrior, motivator, organizer, but most importantly, a wonderfully loving and devoted husband, a caring, compassionate and loving father, an involved and thoughtful uncle, and a grandfather who both adored, and was adored in return by his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a treasured friend to many. He was a dear son to Andrew and Lillian Maracle. Sorrowfully missed by his wife, Linda Maracle and the families of their children, Rachel and Bryan Volkmann, Rebecca and Eric Aschmann and Ross and Shayna Maracle II. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Brant Maracle, Clifford and Yolanda Maracle, Thomas and Alison Maracle, Jonathan and Linda Maracle and David and Kimberly Maracle. Ross had a zest for life and energy for numerous projects, always striving for excellence. Ross was Founder and President of National Native Bible College for just under 2 decades. He reached out to people from coast to coast with his Spirit Alive TV Broadcast which is still broadcasting from Thunder Bay, Ontario, under the new direction of Reverend Rome Fisher. He was also dedicated to our young people with a drive to “discovering new trails” by acting as Founder and Director of Ohahahse Camp for Youth. In the role of organizer and promoter, when hearing the news of the emergency situation in Attawapiskat, through his contacts, a plan to deliver a Compassionate Outreach Program was initiated, and an airlift was organized to immediately supply items needed to help the community. In his downtime, Ross’s main focus was seeking ways to make Linda fall in love with him over and over through 45 years of marriage and always sought ways to bring family and friends together. A special thank you to everyone supporting our family through this difficult time. Family and Friends will be received at McGlade Funeral Home, on Sunday, August 26, 2012 between the hours of 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Funeral Services to be held on Monday, August 27th at Evangel Temple, 320 Bridge Street West, Napanee, Ontario at1:00 p.m (Please note that the Funeral may be a lengthy service). Interment to take place in Native New Life Cemetery, Tyendinaga Territory. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Spirit Alive Television Ministry or the Northern Native Community Fund. Service Information
