Obituary of Leon McGuinness

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Quinte Health Care Belleville General on May 3, 2011. Leon was in his 80th year. Beloved husband of 50 years to Monica (nee Murphy). Loving father of Raymond (Heather), Mary Kay, Hugh, Ted (Anita), Don (Annette), John, Bill (Amy), JoAnne Lawrence (Rob) and Leanne. Predeceased by his infant son Tommy. Proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Mary (Mae) and his siblings Ed, Frank, Helen and Clare. Leon is survived by his sisters Eileen and Bernice, his brother Laverne (Diane), his sister-in-law Carolyn (Clare) and many nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will be received at McGlade Funeral Home on Friday, May 6, 2011 between the hours of 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Marysville on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Rite of Committal with prayers at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association. Service Information
