Obituary of Robert Elwood Asselstine

Asselstine, Robert `Bob`

Surrounded by his family on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Lennox & Addington Hospital, Napanee in his 72nd year.  Son of the late Harold and Marjorie Asselstine.  Cherished dad of Marlene (Bob Godfrey), Darrin Asselstine (Melanie Peddle) and Carla Asselstine (Brian Wood).  Treasured grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.  Survived by his siblings Doug Asselstine (Jean Asselstine, deceased), Marie (Carl Sinclair, deceased), Betty Lou (Alex McKenzie), Jeanette Bryanton (Erwin Bryanton, deceased), Julie Shelley (Bob Sutherland), Carol Asselstine.  Predeceased by his brother Howard (Betty Asselstine) and his sisters Evelyn (Les Kellie) and Karen Asselstine (Allan Maccrimmon).  He will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home  between the hours of 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m.  Interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Napanee.
