Obituary of Jackie Brant

Jacqueline “Jackie” Lavina Brant (nee Loft) Passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Lennox & Addington County General Hospital in her 66th year after a three-year struggle with dementia. Predeceased by the late Wallace (Neil) Brant. Cherished daughter of Jacqueline Brant (Glenn) and the late Sam Loft. Treasured mother of Joseph and Clinton. Dear sister of Linda, Melba (Ray), Glenna (Butch), Marlin (Cathy), and Shelley (Jamie). Predeceased by brother Brian, and in-laws Elwood and Eileen Brant. Nicknamed “Pink” by her family when she was a baby, Jackie will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews and extended family in Tyendinaga and Curve Lake. Friends and family will be received at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home in Deseronto (78 Centre Street) on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again at the Tyendinaga Mohawk Community Centre (1807 York Road) on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 beginning at 1:00 p.m. through dusk. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Tyendinaga Mohawk Community Centre beginning at 10:00 a.m. Internment will take place in All Saints Anglican Church cemetery following the service, with a feast to follow back at the community center.
