Condolences from the Clair(s) that attended Centreville Public School in the late 1960s, Mr Goodfellow was a respected and admired teacher.
He was the first Principal and male teacher any of us had in our school lives.
He instilled the love of reading and research in us as well as all his students.
I received a small novella he had penned a few years back, Through Sun and Shadow, a collection of his life experiences in small town Ontario communities. Always an enjoyable read when one landed on it in your bookshelf.
I still smile at thoughts of him guiding Jim Hunt, myself and Reg Wales in the outfield of the ball team at Centreville.
RIP, thanks for the guidance, Sir.
