Wringe, Mary `Joan` After a courageous yearlong battle with cancer, Joan passed away with her family by her side at the Lennox & Addington Hospital on Thursday, July 22, 2021 in her 74th year. Joan was raised by the late Jeremiah and Catherine Wringe of Marysville. Loving mother to Maggie (Mark). Cherished G-Ma to Kaitlyn, Melissa, Matthew, Conor and Meaghan. Joan was well known for being the receptionist at the Strathcona Paper Plant, she has a flare and love for art and anything that sparkled, just like she did and a great love for horses. She will be greatly missed by all. The family would like to extend a thank you to the wonderful staff in the palliative care unit at the Lennox & Addington Hospital in Napanee. Family and friends will be received at Smith & Son Funeral Home on Friday, July 30, 2021 between the hours of 3:30- 6:00 p.m. for at time to gather and share memories of Joan. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Lennox & Addington Hospital (Patient Comfort in the Chemo Suite) in memory of Joan. Due to COVID restrictions we kindly asked that family and friends who will be attending the gathering be respectful of one another and practice physical distancing outside and inside the funeral home and face masks are required.
