Orval Allen Brant
June 5, 1958 – October 31, 2021
Passed away suddenly on October 31, 2021, at the age of 63 after complications with diabetes. Son of the late Orval and Eleanor Brant (nee Zachariah). Husband of the late Margaret Brant (nee Johnson); survived by his current wife Lillian Brant (nee Barberstock). He is predeceased by his brothers, Ron Brant (Christine), Lionel Corston, Gary Brant, and Kirk Brant (Sandy), and his grandson Lucas Brant. He is survived by his siblings Wanda Corston (Doug), Eleanor Maracle, Kim Brant Drake (Wayne), Kathy Brant, and Adrian DeBoer (Fran). Orval will be deeply missed by his children Danielle Brant Hill (Bernie), Joshua Brant, Angus Brant (Kelly), and Elizabeth Brant (Chris). He will forever be remembered by his grandchildren Emily Workman, Sylas Brant, Patrick Workman, Sunny Brant, Eden Brant, Chanse Brant-Maracle; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Kingston General Hospital, for all the care he received; the Home Support and the Home and Community Care Program in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory for everything they have done over the years; and all the PSW’s and nurses who looked after him for years.
Family and friends are welcome to The Queen Anne Parish Hall in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.. In keeping with Orval’s wishes interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, after the gathering. Due to Covid restrictions we kindly ask that family and friends who will be attending the gathering to be respectful of one another and practice physical distancing outside and inside the Parish Hall and face masks are required in the hall.
