Passed away peacefully at The Village of Winston Park Retirement Residence on May 8, 2022 in his 88th year. Son of the late Patrick and Helena Edwards. Loving husband of the late Muriel Edwards. Cherished dad of Maria (Charles). Treasured grandpa of Claire and Emily. Dear brother of Charles (Norah) and uncle of Rosemary, Diane, David and Muriel. He will be deeply missed by his best friend Terry Scott. Family and friends will be received at Smith & Son Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Deseronto on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Lennox & Addington County General Hospital Foundation in memory of Leo. Due to COVID we kindly asked that family and friends who will be attending the visitation be respectful of one another and practice physical distancing outside and inside the funeral home and ask that face masks still be wore inside the funeral home.
