Obituary of Theresa Lorraine Brooks

Theresa Lorraine Brooks (Valiquette)

February 27, 1948 – June 24, 2022

Theresa passed suddenly on June 24, 2022 in Buford, Ga.  She was born on February 27, 1948 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to parents Geraldine Elnora Valiquette and Fernand Gustave Valiquette.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Richard and survived by her sisters Leona and Gwendolyn.  Beloved wife and mother, Theresa is survived by her husband of nearly 55 years, Murray Brooks.  Three children Cynthia Lappe (Greg) of Buford, Georgia, Geoff Brooks (Tammy) of Calgary, Alberta, Lisa Miklos (Steve) of Deseronto, Ontario and her grandchildren Jordan Alexis (Greg and Cynthia), Cadence, Ryder and Hailey (Geoff and Tammy), Josh and Megan (Lisa) will miss her tremendously.

She loved adventure and was always up to try something new with her grandchildren.  Theresa was always in close contact with her children and grandchildren and was able to visit with them often. She would strike up a conversation with everyone she met and make a new friend.

There will be a memorial service on July 9, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 280, located on 340 Main Street, Deseronto, Ontario  from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Theresa’s name to your local children’s hospital or animal shelter.
