Root, George Elmer

March 28, 1931 – June 1, 2023

Passed away peacefully at McQuigge Lodge in Cannifton in his 93rd year. Son of the late William and Myrtle Root. Husband of the late Doris Root. Dear brother Mary Stafford. Predeceased by his brothers Cecil Root and Eric Root. He will always be remembered by his nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 5, 2023 at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Deseronto Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made Napanee Baptist Church or Gideons in memory of George.
