Allan was my favourite boy cousin. He could tell stories (tall tales) like no other. We went to the same school and our families visited a lot. Our birthday was 2 days apart and every year he would remind me that we were the same age for 2 days. I have a lot of good memories of Allan, which I will never forget. Glad you were a part of my life Allan, you will always be loved and remembered by me. Your cousin, Marion

My heart goes out to Betty and the family. I know you are all reminiscing over the many wonderful memories (and some maybe not so wonderful >grin<) that you had with Allan. Unfortunately I didn't know cousin Allan very well as we only met a few times over the years at the Martin Family Picnics. From what I can remember, he was funny, very nice and quick witted. My grandfather was a great man, and I have many memories of grandpa from when I was young, my favourite thing about him was that he laughed and smiled a lot and I remember his big hugs that made me feel so warm as a child. I also know so many stories from my dad, and I definitely believe that my grandpa is such a great man and that’s why my dad is today. My dad learned everything from his dad and looks up to him tremendously. So he’d tell me story’s about how creative he was and that he was very handy and that made me think when I was younger my grandpa had superpowers! It’s pretty convincing too. A man who can build anything?
