James Franklin Montana “Frank”


November 21, 1934 - January 24, 2024




It is with great sadness that the family of James Franklin Montana, announces his sudden passing on January 24, in his 90th year. Lovingly known as “Pops”, Frank is survived by his beloved daughters and their partners, Cindy (Terry) McCormack, and Bonnie (John) Farnham. Pops enjoyed special relationships with his grandchildren, Sarah Montana (Corey Wilson), Jessica Montana, Lyndsay Farnham (Rob Cranston), Jonee Farnham, and Meagan Farnham. Cherished great-grandfather to Brianna, Kaidyn, C.J, Jasmine, Nathan, Owen, Joshua, and Noah. Great-great-grandfather to Everleigh. He was also loved by Tammie (Jeremiah) and Chayton.




Frank was predeceased by his partner of over four decades, Ruby (Bardy), his parents, Mildred (Bardy) and Frank Montana, and siblings, Myrna (Leslie) Prest, and Jean (Harold) Vaudry. He also lived through the tragic losses of his son, Frank Montana, and grandchildren, Frank Jr. Montana, and Jeremiah McCormack.




Frank will be remembered for his never-ending devotion to his family, and his strong work ethic, particularly his many years spent as a boom truck operator with Hamilton Hydro.




Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2024 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations, may be made to the Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, Napanee, in memory of Frank.
