It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved dad, grandpa, brother and friend on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in his 62nd year.  Son of the late Jack and Shirley Layfield.  Cherished dad of Adam (Kerry), Ashlee (Andy) and Annie.  Treasured grandpa of Ben, Jackson, Owen, Blake, Carson, Alexis, Laney and Crae.  Dear brother of Denny, Norma, Brian and Susie.  Predeceased by his sister Karen.  He will always be remembered by his partner Shelley and his four-legged companions Maggie and Tank.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Family and friends are welcome to gather at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home on Monday, February 19, 2024 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Dave.
