It is with deep sadness that the family of Francis (Jake) Maracle announce his passing on July 4, 2024. Jake passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was in his 79th year.


Jake was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.


He was a loving husband & partner to his wife Linda for 56 years. Jake is survived by his children Lisa (Tom) & Jason/Bo (Annette). He was a deeply loved and cherished Pup to Thomas Jr, Brianne (Travis), Breanne (Cory), Chyann & Savana and the greatest Great Pup to Lilian, Everly, Lainey, River & Quill. Jake is survived by his siblings Orla, June, Sonny, Tommy (Theresa), Molly, Geraldine, Carmen and sister in law Joy. He was predeceased by his parents Albert & Mary & siblings Alvin/Banty (Maggie), Louis, Ralph/Raz & Mary. He will be greatly missed by his very large extended family.


We would like to thank all of the doctors & nurses at Lennox & Addington General Hospital for the care and kindness they showed our family.


In keeping with Jakes wishes cremation will take place. Family & Friends will be received on Wednesday July 10 from 10am – 12pm, with the internment to immediately follow at Christ Church. We will then gather for a light lunch at the Community Center, 1807 York Rd, TMT immediately following the internment.


For those that wish memorial donations may be made to Christ Church or the Parkinson’s Society in memory of Jake
